COLOR PRINTING
Most printers form tiny dots and each dot is made of a mixture of the primary pigments to create a color. Monitors can display more colors than printers, but not a lot. Matching on-screen color is difficult.
Printer colors can´t be as vivid as video colors because printed images don´t produce light the way the monitors do. Colors mixed in the way of the CYMK color model (for Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and Black). The range of colors that humans can perceive extends beyond either technology. |
